Vintage new baby card and Leibster Blog award

Having made a 'new baby' card for my nephew, I thought I should probably get on with making one for my brother and sister-in-law!!

I wanted to create something a bit different for them. They're having a little girl, but they're not into the whole 'pink and blue' thing and so I wanted to get away from all of that stuff but still keep it feminine.
I searched "Vintage baby card" on google for ideas and saw this card and totally fell in love!

Here is my take...

What do you think?

I'm entering for the following challenges:
Allsorts challenge - It's your choice
Crafter's Companion - Anything Goes

I'd also like to say a HUGE thanks to the lovely Loz of Lozadoodle's blog for nominating me for a Leibster Blog Award which is very exciting :)

The idea of the Liebster Blog Award is to spread the love from one small blog (under 200 followers) to other small blogs.
This helps to spread knowledge and readership.
To accept the award, you must:
1) Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you.
2) Post the award to your blog.
3) Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
4) Leave a comment on the blogs of the five people you have chosen to let them know.
"Liebster" in German means "dearest", so to carry on the Liebster tradition, I am going to pass the award on to 5 others who I love to visit!

So, if you haven't already then pop over to Loz's blog to see her gorgeous cards, and in no particular order... here are the blogs I'd like to nominate :)

Cathy Fong from Fong's Crafty Place
Gillian from Made With Sparkle
Rach from Mike's Gal
Sue from Sue The Iron
Hettie from Hettiecraft

Now to pop over to their blogs and let them know!

Purple blocks

Here's another quick make; for my sister this time to thank her for a lovely weekend! I asked her to take some of my cards away with her, as I have far too many, and she really liked this one so I wanted to make something similar for her. I then saw this post by Joyce and decided that layout was perfect! And it gave me an opportunity to ink up one of my gorgeous V & A stamps.

A custom insert to match the front... and it's in the post :)

Entered for Allsorts Challenge and Crafters Companion - Anything Goes challenges.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Pirate card

I promised my nephew a pirate card; and here it is!

My sister-in-law is due to give birth anytime now, so I'm going to send this as a 'congrats on being a big brother' card. I think he's going to struggle with having a new baby in the house, as he's hugely spoiled!!!

I'm entering this for the following challenges:
Allsorts Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafter's Companion - Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant - Print

Thanks for stopping by :)

Valentines makes

I've decided this year to send a Valentine to my mum and my sister. So here they are!

This one for my Mum - she loves blue.

This one is for my sister. Peace stamped on to acetate and embossed with distress inks, then layered onto a patterned paper. You can't see the acetate in the pic but it gives a lovely shiny finish.

Haven't made one for my husband... he's always around, so it's hard to find an opportunity! I have promised to make my nephew a pirate card so perhaps if I can find some pirate stamps I can make my husband's valentine with that - he'd love it!

I'm entering both for the following challenges:
Chocolate, coffee and cards - Thinking of you/missing you
Come and Get It Challenges - Love is in the air
Sweet Stampin' - The one I love
Allsorts - free and easy
I'm also entering just the second card for St Lukes Charity Cards - Love and lace

Thanks for stopping by :)
